By now you should have your tax refund and stimulus check. What are you going to do with it? Hopefully, you haven't spent it all. Yes it's a lot of money, but it's extra money that you haven't needed all year so there is no scense in spending it all quickly.
Things you could do with it:
You could invest it in yourself. Something you and the family have needed or wanted. Something for healthier living such as a threadmill. If you make payments the APR will be high. If you pay cash, your money has been devoured. Ask yourself if you wanting something is more important than devouring your money.
You could divide it into four parts. Let's say your check is $1200.00 Four parts would make each part $300.00 So put $300. into an emergency fund, $300. into paying off debt fund, $300 for investment fund and $300 for cashflow savings fund. Whatever you do, don't leave it in your checking account.
Part one: If you stash away $300 now into an emergency fund and add to it. You will have the needed money when emergencies come up and not have to charge it. Thereby saving you more money! I had a friend that kept doing this until he had enough money to cover any emergency for 21 years without a single dime income. Wow! That's security!
Part two: Stashing $300 into a paying off debt fund can be rewarding. Picture yourself debt free.
Debt free is owning your cars out right and your home and no credit card bills. Just think how much freedom you would have. Have a nice nest egg in the bank for your retirement! Your cup runth over with abundance. Think how awesome it would be to go out from time to time and pay cash. . .no credit card bill coming in to gobble up your hard earned money. Did you know that if you had your house paid, your cars paid, no credit card bills and an income of just $2000 a month, you would have about the same spendable money as many millionaires? How would you like to be living like a millionaire?
Part three: $300 investment fund. Haven't had one? Why not start one now? Learn how you can make your $300 turn into $2400 or more. Before you invest, learn what to do. Many a person has lost a fortune because he didn't know how to invest. Experience the exciting world of currency trading with a free 30-day practice account before you invest. Make money online.
Part four: $300 cashflow fund. This is your money that you put away for a rainy day. You can put into an interest bearing account and let it make a little money. Could you say wow to having money left at the end of the month? This is the money that let's you be your own boss or the freedom to be your own boss. Make it grow little by little.
You have the power and control of money in your hands! That would be a huge step in the right direction for your financial life. It's up to you, you're the boss. Now that's empowering.
