Tired of Sour Heartstrings at Work Each Day?
Are your tired of pinching a penny until it screams and find at the end of the month you have even less money to show for your hard work.
With the price of gas hitting an all time record, Wall Street is down, food prices are soaring, the housing market is bouncing, and over 80 million employees have lost their jobs so far this year.
You can still find the money for those things you desire; those things that bring meaning and fulfillment to your life; those things that pull on your heartstrings with the least amount of hassle! Escape the rat race and enjoy living.
Now is the perfect time to have a online business, work from home or at least have your business with an online presence. There is less overhead in an online business and do online shopping. You don't have to pay the high price of gas to go to work or to get your advertising and marketing out to the public. You don't have to deal with road rage. You don't have to deal with employee gossip. With the Internet you have a global audience and therefore attract more customers with a broader base.
Some of the things I do, I learned a few years ago when reading Rich Dad Poor Dad by Richard Kiyosaki and Rich Woman by his wife, Kim Kiyosaki. Now the family plays the game Cash flow. I enjoy teaching and coaching others how to empower themselves. The best thing we can do is teach our children financial security. No one else will teach them. It's things they don't teach in Harvard. You either learn it from your parents or some mentor along the way. Or you don't learn it at all.
The first time I played the Cash flow game with our children and grandchildren, the 8 year old said, "This is like real life!" I felt empowered to know that maybe a little was rubbing off.
Imagine finally keeping the money you make without penny-pinching to make it scream or drowning in paper with coupons. Knowing that you have enough money plus the extra for the special things you want to do before the next paycheck! You can live the life you dreamed while the world has a recession, depression or whatever you want to call our current economics. How about surprising the family with that dream vacation without charging it or cutting into your savings or budget. You'll enjoy freedom of choosing your life with confidence and creativity.
It's never too late to learn. Maybe you haven't been the best with money. Or maybe you don't feel like a money person. It's never too late. Yes you can win the money game. You decide how much of a raise you need not the boss. There are simple things that you can do that can affect your financial future. A little change today can make a world of difference in your future.

$aving One Step At A Time
How about you? Has setting aside money been an issue for you?
Let’s face it. Most of us weren't born with a silver spoon in our mouth. We learned our saving habits from our parents who learned from their parents. Most of us are able to save a little but not a lot. The difference between the middle class and the upper class is the value of money and learning to save. If you're reading this, probably you are in the same boat as I was.
So, how do you take that initial, small step to saving? Well, picture a child learning to walk. They learn to walk, one step at a time. They are determined to learn to walk. Every day, they struggle again and again as they attempt to make walking natural. Motivation. Determination.
They didn’t wake up one morning and begin walking ten miles that day. If they tried to do that, would give up walking for being too sore.
They began with baby steps, perhaps taking only one or two steps. Gradually those steps increased until at they were walking and maybe even running.
So you see, a child didn’t start out running. A child's starting point was taking that first baby step and then another.
And so it is with saving… one small step at a time.
First of all your savings must be compatible with your lifestyle. If it is done easily, it is better. So look for ways to save without becoming overwhelmed. Think about your previous commitments.
Make a list of all your expenses. Some are fixed and some are flexible. If your lifestyle is hectic, food may be one of your largest expenses. Eating out at lunchtime, not having time to pack the kids’ lunches, or eating dinner out several times a week all add up. Pick a time when it's your least busy time to get started. I find my me time early in the morning. I can get the meals all done while I'm writing these messages and checking on my business while everyone else is sleeping. I got use to getting up at 4:30 to go to work. So now I have that time.
Packing a lunch instead of eating out can be saving as well as healthier for you. Here's some examples of spending less on lunches:
a) Pick a time when you have less errands to run to pack a lunch for you or the kids.
b) When starting out only pack lunches on your chosen day. After about a month you can add another time that will fit into your schedule.
c) Immediately put away the amount of money you’ve saved through making lunches. That’s your reward! Or use that money and save even more by stocking up on sale items. You know what items you and your family eat on a regular basis. This way you are never without any food in your pantry or freezer. I buy items on a 12 week cycle. Each item is usually on sale during that time, so I take advantage of sale specials. The items that I buy with online shopping and have them delivered save me money also. It also keeps me from emotional buying when I'm at the store and see something that the store is trying to get me to buy. Even saving five dollars means I can do it again and again to save for that special vacation that we've been wanting.
By cutting out eating out as much saves tremdously. I found when I was tired and didn't feel like cooking was when I tended to want to eat out. Too busy to think. So I found time when I was least busy, I could cook a double batch of food and put it in a vaccum freezer bag. Then I have a backup meal already prepared that doesn't take any more time than pulling a frozen dinner out of the freezer and less time than getting everyone into the car and driving to McDonald's or the favorite resturant.
If your food and grocery bills are under control, consider other ways how you might take advantage of your least busy time to save some money.
If your cellphone needs an overhaul, check out this wireless services.
Now don't forget my previous talks of utilizing your income and cashflow. It might be easier to take your new income and do that while your paycheck is covering your commitments. Keep in mind that your long term goals are where the wealth is. Doing without means you can have something better later. Here's to your success.

Are You Fit or Fat?
The woman doctor, whose name is Dr Suzanne Gudakunst, has really upset the major food; drug industries, as well as weight loss manufactured food companies.
In the past 6 years she has worked largely in secret developing what may be the "cure" for obesity and testing this first on herself, and then on a select group of volunteer patients who anxiously awaited salvation from the harmful effects of suffering "the battle of bulge."
So valuable her SHOCKING findings and PROVEN results are, that she's now just released her simple and easy-to-do system under the aptly titled: "Top Secret Fat Loss Secret!"
And her timing couldn't be better! ...
* Since recent studies reveal obesity has now reached epidemic proportions, her secret may well prove a major life-saver to the now more than 40% of Americans alone who are labeled "obese!"
* Children are now considered "fatter than ever" by most experts, and Dr Suzanne's remedy may prove a preventative in the fight against later-in-life developed diabetes when these same children grow into adults!
* According to the American Heart Association, obesity is now recognized as a major risk factor for coronary heart disease, which can lead to heart attack. Go Red
And what may be the BIGGEST "Shock" of all is this horrifying fact:
=> Dr Suzanne has received death threats for simply making her secret fat loss solution available to the general public and from what law enforcement investigators believe may be insiders in the fit or fat, weight-loss/diet food manufacturing and weight-loss drug treatment industries!
One federal law enforcement official (who insists on remaining nameless) said in confidence:
"It's no shock to us at the [agency name withheld for security purposes] that this lady doc has received so many threats on her life as food and drug companies stand to lose potentially billions of dollars by the release of her new breakthrough secret for losing weight."
But now with the release of this breakthrough weight and fat loss revelation, people who previously struggled so very hard with little or any success in the fight against the "extra pounds" now have a VAST & POWERFUL WEAPON on their side for a well-deserved change!
When asked if she feared retaliation from pharmaceutical and weight-loss food manufacturers, she said almost too hopefully...
"I wish they would do so especially in public because to get fired upon for this would demonstrate more than ever that I must have done something very, very right ... as anyone with common sense would see that the only reason they are in business in the first place is because being overweight as a population only serves to make them even richer ... and what I've done is going to free masses of people from being slaves to them for good! - even many millions."
So despite the continued threats, Dr Suzanne is more on the ball and out to ruffle as many feathers as she can with her New "TOP SECRET Fat Loss Secret!"
To be sure the good gal-doctor isn't going this alone! Nope. She's got some very BIG heavy-hitters on her side!
Joined in unison by some of the biggest names in modern medicine from the likes of Johns Hopkins, Harvard Medical, and a good number of the other leading world-recognized hospitals and higher-learning institutions, Dr Suzanne moves rapidly forward in her personal "war" on ugly, unwanted fat and for the empowerment in the pursuit of better and eventually optimal health for all!
Additionally, you should know that nothing about her secret fat loss cure is difficult or hard to do.
What you may even find strangely surprising about her secret is the fact that it can by done by anyone effortlessly! (You'll have to see it for yourself to understand how this is actually possible!)
So if you are someone who has been losing the fight against ugly fat and unwanted extra inches (that eventually without a doubt will shorten your life and lower the quality of it), then this is exactly what the good lady-doctor ordered!
Just grab the good doctor's secret for yourself at:
=> Go here to be fit or fat
But I feel it only fair to warn you that "the rush" is so vehemently on, that if you hesitate you may find that tomorrow when you get there (the link just above) the credit card-taking process might be so overburdened that you can't order at all ... (So it might be a good idea that you hurry on over there NOW rather than risk waiting till later and losing out for good!)
Plus, it's my understanding that she knocks off nearly HALF the price just for people getting over there within 24-48 hours!
So if I were you I'd not take any chances because although credit card processing may still be working by the time you get there, the price may nearly DOUBLE just 2 days from now (and then you'll kick yourself saying "Dad-gummit! I knew I should have grabbed that when I had the chance!" ... so don't let this happen to you - grab it NOW!)
Also keep this in mind...
How many times have you seen sudden "breakthroughs" of such great controversy potentially come along and cause a woman doctor to actually get death threats for her secret 'know-how?' You're right ... very, very few.
So don't overlook this message as it may very well prove to be one of the most influential and important ones you've ever received in your battle to be fit or fat...
I hope all women will join me in making lifestyle changes that have an empowering positive impact on our heart health. I believe that when women share our stories of health choices, struggles and successes, we ultimately strengthen our families and communities by living longer, stronger, healthier lives. Are you ready to be fit or fat?

Clutter Buzz
Stay organize and keep a schedule your work at home time as well as your home time. By doing so you will keep the clutter to a minimum. You don't want to wake up to the clutter the work created the night before or go to work in the area that the kids made a mess last night. Regularly putting everything in it's place helps you keep organized.
As you can, you may also want to have someone clean your house once a week. My maid once told me, "God create folks like me to help people like you cause you can work easier with the work that I do and then you can help me." She was right, I did make more money with her handling the cleaning of the house and then I was able to afford her easily. Having peaceful tranquil surroundings promotes a haven from the outside world.

Working From Home
Don't try to be a One Stop Shop: People don't buy the store usually all at once. They buy one thing at a time. You may be a one stop shop but it's not a benefit, it becomes a distraction when a person is looking for a particular item or service. So pick something that you do or sell and promote that one thing. You can promote another item or service at another time. You can be a one stop shop by promoting one thing at a time.
[My Company] Can: Nobody cares! It's business with people to people, not companies. People prefer to do business with someone they know and trust first. That gives small business and those working from home an advantage. Why? Because we value and feel confidence in human beings who can deliver on the personal touch. Heart to heart so to speak. We want professional quality with a heart. The difference many times between who to do business is the personal touch. That doesn't mean you can act like Ma and Pa Kettle. It means that you have a heart. My Dad used to tell me, "Quit using those fancy words and tell me what you really mean." That's the difference. They have to know that you care about them!
There was a 1947 movie, "Miracle on 34th Street" that made this point. Santa Claus for a department store started telling the parents where to go to get the gift the child was wanting if they didn't have it. The parents started shopping there first because it.
We're The Best: Clichés that can't be proven don't build results. This is just stroking your ego and doesn't help you in business. If you're going to make statements about your business, have detailed facts to back up your reasons. Your claims then becomes powerful proof. Who can argue with proof?
Good Quality and Good Service: People aren't looking for good service and good quality. Deliver more than what they expect. The big companies can outspend you but you can deliver something that the big companies never will be able. Deliver excellent service. People expect good quality and good service. They complain when they don't get it. As a small business or working from home, you can't afford bad publicity. Deliver excellent service, the free publicity is worth the extra effort.
Got Milk?: That phrase is overworked. It's used to brand their product. Avoid using branding messages as a small business or entrepreneur. You are in the business of attracting more business not branding a name. The big companies have enough business coming in that they can afford to create a brand name. You need to avoid wasteful spending and attract more people for a direct response. The headline or main feature to promote is solving a person's problem with your product or service then end with where to find the solution. Your results will be more effective. It goes back to Your Company. Nobody cares about your company until they realize that you have the solution to their problem. Creating a bond with people doesn't happen with big companies. Working from home has another advantage.
Timidity: Think about your business. Promote confidence. People with problems are looking for someone to guide them to safety or the solution. They need help. Show them the solution. All they are asking is value for their money. You need to capture their attention with confidence and respect. This is not the time to be timid. It's like your children. When they are hurt, you come to their rescue knowing exactly what to do and it calms their fears. It's the same with people. Believe in your products and service and it will show.
With today's economy, now is a good time to be an entrepreneur or working from home. It's time to take control of your life.

Are You Harming Your Child?
In an ABC News article recently, entitled "Common Chemicals May Have Autism Link," it explains how a study out of California might have uncovered at least one household chemical worthy of investigation -- pyrenthrin, a type of pesticide found in common products from pet shampoos to household bug sprays and lice treatments for children.
This a chemical has been around for twenty years and was deemed safe. That was shocking to me. That many of us have this or similar chemicals in our cupboards or on our garage shelves without a thought to the potential harm they may cause to our health and the health of our children.
"Why have questionable products in your home when there are safer alternatives available?" Most of the time, it is because we simple weren't aware of the toxic nature of common household chemicals, and finding there is a better way.
This summer, if you feel tempted to use chemical bug repellents on your children, stop and think about the potential harm you may be doing to their long-term health. Maybe you already have a safer solution to your bug problem in your cupboard.
Click here for the ABC article on Autism and chemical sprays:

I also have several reports on other toxins if you would like additional information.
Enjoy your summer with safe products from:

Are You A Work From Home Mom?
Escaping the rat race can be great for the right person. As a parent, working from home can give you more quality time with your kids. You don't have to be away all week or all day. You definitely save on the cost of gas, office dress and eating out for lunch. And you may even have time to have your nails done, spend time meditating or exercising or relaxing by the pool.
The obstacles? Unless you are the type of person that has a to do list and tackles the project at hand, you may end up getting sidetracked by the kids and/or spouse or other family and friends.
If you have been in a work outside of home job, the friends and family all want your attention now and think of this as your day off. You have to let them know that when "the door" is closed, "Mommy is busy working. It will have to wait until Mommy is through with work." The same thing applies for those that decide to start a business after being at home. It takes a period of adjustment but it is doable.
For me, it was easier to take one of the bedroom and make it my office. It had a door that I could close. Just like when I worked in an office when I closed the door, I do not want to be disturbed unless it is an emergency. If the door is open, I may still be working but more than likely, I'm doing busy work, paper work, filing, etc. Something that I can easily put down or stop and answer questions or let one of them in my lap for me to hold.
Also, I found that trying to work in the living room was too distracting for me. In America, there are tax savings of having an office space at home and it needs to be a specific place in case you are audited. I found that it was easier to get organize having a room; even if it has to substitute for a guest bedroom. You can always have a sofa bed or Murphy bed. Having a designated work area will help you be less stressed during your off-time. You don't want to bring your work into the home environment. It can create too much stress.
Does your business need a separate phone? If your business of making money online requires you to answer the phone, at least get a separate line or ringtone so when business calls you can have your business face and voice on. If you have ever had the kids running wild, the dog barking, the cat meowing when the boss called you at home, you know what I mean.
In the beginning of your business setup, keep everything simple. Don't try to do too much. KISS! Keep it simple, stupid. It will pay off for you.
Tell me...what do you dream of doing to make money online?

Facts On Being A Woman
A friend sent this to me, so I had to share. Being a Mom we have many roles to play as a woman. Sometimes the men in our lives get in a hurry and don't understand when we say, "I've got a headache" or "I'm tired." Watching a rerun of Everybody Loves Raymond was about that.
This seemed to touch me so I thought I'd share. It's not about business but it is about being a SwatMom - just ask any man!
Have a good day!

One Decision At A Time
$1,000,000 to do as they wish with after his life has ended.
Once they make the choice it's final. If they chose to take the $0.01 the ailing father left instructions with his banker to double that penny every day for the next month. If they chose the $1,000,000.00 it was theirs to do with as they pleased.
They were given a night to choose. One son stayed up all night debating his choices while the other new right off which choice to make. The morning came and both had made a decision and were ready for their father.
The son who had lost sleep over the choice by morning time had found new inspiration and had a plan by the time the daylight came around, in fact, by the time he saw his father, he was smiling from ear to ear as he found his resolve so complete for his course of action.
Their father asked his boys . . . "What do you choose?"
The one son who had devised a plan quickly chose to take the one million dollars and quickly got to work on setting it into action. He called the top financial analyst in the country and hired them at any cost to make his money grow.
They spent a week devising the perfect plan and once finished presented it to the son who had chosen the one million dollars and he approved.
Next, they quickly got to work making his nest egg grow.
Meanwhile the other son chose the other route, one cent which doubled on a daily basis.
Two weeks later the two sons met.
The first son had his million and the second had about $600+.
Both were excited, but once the first son found out that his brother had chosen to take the $0.01 option he pleaded with him to go to his father and beg him to reconsider his foolish decision. He didn't want to see his brother with only $600 to live on once his father passed.
The second son refused.
29 days in, the first son who had chosen the one million dollar option was up to one and half million playing the stock market. All seemed well, but . . .
His financial planners fees were just over half a million dollars, so actually he was a little in the red.
Meanwhile his brother was up to 2.5 million dollars.
The final 3 days passed quickly.
The first son, although he had not done bad, was still at less then a million dollars do to fees and expenses while his brother had understood something that he hadn't. His brother's final net worth from starting with just $0.01 was now over ten million dollars.
His brother had understood the power of the eighth wonder of the world.
Compound interest . . .
And flourished for it.
The lesson here is two fold.
1. In your home based marketing business you leverage this powerful principle. You start as one and over time you grow exponentially. Half way through you may feel like you're not as far along as you would think, but believe me you're well on your way and you'll arrive at your financial goals far faster than you expect as long as you understand the rule.
2. This principle goes deeper than just your business, it has to do with your ever success or failure you create in your life and relationships. Those results are compounded result of the little things you do every single day be they good or bad. Eating McDonalds today won't make you any less or more healthy than eating a salad, but look a year later and you'll surely see the compounded effects of each path. It's the little things you do every day that build your relatonships, your business and your life. One to greater health one small decision at a time and one to bad health one small decision at a time. It's the little things that make a difference. Take care of the little things and the big decisons will take care of themselves.
It really is the small things that make the big differences in the long run. Don't loose site of it in your life, your relationships or in your business.

Your Total Heart Health Matters!

Since Tim Russert died yesterday of a heart attack at the age of 58, I'm writing about heart health for men and women again. I know I've talked about it before but it's important!
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of both men and women in the United States. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that 770,000 Americans will have a new coronary attack in 2008, and about 430,000 will have a recurrent attack. About every 26 seconds, an American will have a coronary event, and about one every minute will die from one. In a nutshell, more than half a million people will die this year from heart disease.
Dr. Leachman, who co-author the books with others on Total Heart Health, (one book is for men and one is for women and then there are workbooks - one of which is pictured here but you can buy them both at this link) is an Interventional Cardiologist, Leachman Cardiology Associates, an affiliate of Texas Heart Institute Associate Chief of Cardiology, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital Medical Director, Cardiac Catheriz. Lab Assoc. Professor of Medicine, Baylor College of Medicine & The Univisity of Texas Health Science Ctr., Houston, Texas. Doctor of Medicine, with honors, University of Texas Health Science Center, Dallas, Texas and Board Certified, Internal Medicine & Cardiology.
Dr. Richard Leachman says when we eat, our body turns food into energy and burns it through our daily activity. When we put more fuel into our system than we can immediately use, it is turned into fat. “We are experiencing a medical crisis that is literally killing us,” says Dr. Leachman. A healthy diet combined with regular exercise and no smoking can eliminate 80 percent of heart disease and 70 percent of some cancers. The Total Heart Health recommendation for both men and women is 30 minutes six days per week. Walking is a good example. At 100 calories a mile, you will burn 200 calories a day, 1,200 calories a week, and 62,400 calories a year. Since one pound of fat equals 3,500 calories, you could lose 18 pounds a year just from eating right and walking 2 miles a day!
The Total Heart Health plan includes foods from all food groups and represents a balanced, reasonable approach to maintaining maximum health and a weight you can live with. Dr. Leachman says that trying to keep up with diet trends could be harmful to your health. “Generally we agree with any diet that recommends reducing or eliminating simple sugars from the diet,” says Dr. Leachman. “However, we encourage consumption of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, which contain valuable dietary components such as fiber, vitamins and minerals.”
Dr. Leachman recommends one gram of protein, including more fish and plant protein sources, per kilgram of ideal body weight. (Kilogram weight is weight in pounds divided by 2.2.) Also, decrease trans fats and increase consumption of polyunsaturated fats which are present in fish and vegetable oils (not tropical oils). He recommends 38 grams per day of fiber for men and 25 for women to slow the digestive process and decrease the absorption of glucose in the bloodstream (lowering glycemic index). Individuals with high blood pressure should consume no more than 1,500 milligrams of sodium per day and should meet the potassium recommendation of 4,700 milligrams per day. Before embarking on any new diet plan, Dr. Leachman says to talk to your doctor first.
Your health is your greatest wealth!

Sex and the City
In order to build an understanding of that which I'm referring; let me explain. I remember sitting down with my Grandmother and discussing sex and women's issues. She told me in her day, women weren't allowed to vote. She was one of a number of women who chained themselves to a courthouse door in Minneapolis during that period to campaign for the right to vote. Voting for women was passed in America on August 26, 1920. Things we take so casually and matter of fact now were once won with perservance.
Today, we sit around tables of women to discuss how Sen. Clinton's gender affected her campaign and how her candidacy has shaped the national conversation about the role of women.
We casually discuss sex and motherhood or the work force. We've come a long way or have we? Look around and you will find it's still a man's world. Women are still oppressed. For the most part, it is subtle oppression. Some are not allowed to think or talk for themselves. Even in America, there are places where women are not allowed to think or talk for themselves. Men making decisions that affect a woman's life without her input. Don't think so? Think about El Dorado, Texas in April of this year. Think about Elizabeth Smart's abduction. Oprah said she had to learn to take care of finances personally and she wouldn't be where she is today if she hadn't.
It's not some far off place where women are being oppressed, it's right here in America. It might be in your very own home. I don't care if you're a stay at home Mom, young woman, business woman or entrepreneur woman, we as women need to empower ourselves. If you're a man reading this blog, it could be your Mother, sister or daughter. Look at these statistics:
* 1 out of every 2 marriages ends in divorce and on average, in the first year after the divorce, the woman’s standard of living drops 73% ,
* Of the elderly living in poverty, 3 out of 4 are women, yet 80% of them were not poor when their husbands were alive,
* 58% of baby female boomers have an average of only $10,000 set aside for retirement,
* 47% of women over the age of 50 are single,
* Nearly 7 out of 10 women will at some time live in poverty during their life,
* 90% of all women have sole responsibility for their finances some time during their lifetime, yet 79% of all women have not planned for this.
The struggle of all our people is to free ourselves mentally, financially and morally from the "oughtness" and of the mainstream oppressive value system of the American life. For many women the struggle is for actual physical and spiritual survival. These battles cannot be waged by women alone but are intrinsically bound together with our sisters and brothers. Many sisters have not understood this phenomenon and perceive that women are merely perpetuating machoism because they have not been so quick to denounce their interdependence with their men. Men and women need to work out new supportive and freeing roles with each other, but that will have to happen within the constraint of the struggle for justice in America. We need to realize we are helping each other achieve all we can be. Yes, men if you're reading this, you need to debunk the male "macho" ego and get a supportive one. Women reading this, need to listen, regardless of what role you play, it is freedom for humanity for all to be equal. For justice to be done outside of America, it needs to begin with America. The power of one to change.
It takes courage to change. Just think . . . Just one drop of water can cause a ripple effect that courses across the terrain of water. Just as our words positive or negative can makes such an impact on the people around us. Our thoughts and actions that we have can plow a course through the universal consciousness. Wow what power we have when we control our thoughts and words and speak with wisdom, love and clarity for human kind.
I have a dream that one day any woman regardless of ancestory will be able to live without the fear of oppression. We cannot move forward alone. Men can not survive without us. So we need to learn to work together in moving forward. Our future depends upon it.

Lessons for Truth, Justice and Creativity
Within every human being exists an infinite supply of creativity, strength, and fight for justice. You are capable of more than you know.
Let me tell you about a real life person. Her name is Lynn Boudreaux.
Lynn was born a few minutes after her twin sister Donna on February 4, 1961. Shortly after birth, Lynn was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Doctors told her parents that she would not be able to talk, and she would never be a student in a regular classroom. Her parents were great believers in possibilities. They worked with their daughters. The Dad abandoned them. Their Mom was a music teacher.
By the time Donna was 3, she was not only talking up a storm but had a thirst for vocabulary. Lynn had a language that only she and Donna could understand. One day, while their Mom was getting breakfast ready, the most beautiful music came out of the piano room.
Their Mom told Donna to get off the piano and come to breakfast. Donna came. The music continued. The Mother looked puzzled at Donna because she knew it was too early for her students, and said, "Who's that playing on the piano?"
Donna went into the piano and said, "Mother get in here, because you're not gonna believe me!"
When the Mom arrived, she dropped her jaw. There sat, Lynn, playing the piano; looked up and smiled. The subconscious mind had listened to the Mother giving the other students lessons and though she had never had one lesson, was able to play the piano. In fact, I believe it was one of Mozart's pieces that one of the students had been practicing for an upcoming recital.
Lynn continued to amaze her family and friends. When I met Donna, she was a little embarrassed about introducing me to Lynn. Because Donna was so beautiful, every boy wanted her and because of her twin sister, many didn't. Boys trying to be macho. Boys and men trying to put her down and take control over her life because of her sister which she had no control over. Even back them I was trying to be supportive and give her possibilities and empowerment.
I don't know what happened to them. Some people come into to our lives and leave footprints on our hearts. We are touched by everyone we meet. Anyway, I thought of them today and decided to write about it. In loving memory!
Are you a success if you play it safe your whole life and never dare anything unless you are guaranteed victory? As my Dad told me and I say to you, "You can do anything you set your mind to, feel the passion and your heart the heart will follow through."
When you set milestones, it is important to set many smaller milestones that coincide with it. Even if you fail to reach your deadline for one milestone, you will still succeed at many, and you will build your confidence to a much higher level. Give yourself empowering reasons for getting up when you feel down.
There is a champion inside YOU. What can you do that will inspire you to unleash it?
Live Your Dreams.

The Strings of Life
Bam! The door slammed as Janice stormed out of Darrell's office. Darrell had shot down the proposal, just as Janice had feared. Just like every time before. "Why is he so obsessed with control?" Janice seethed in resentment. "How many times am I going to have to fight this battle?"
Feelings can be powerful disablers when our wishes aren't being realized. Like in this story there was a history that poisoned Janice's unconscious beliefs about her chance to bring about her desires. Until she could become aware that she unintentionally self-sabotaged, she was confused and disappointed by his results and left feeling powerless and angry. Feelings are influenced by our expectations, which are based on our beliefs. If we are experiencing what we want, then we feel happy and life is good. If we are experiencing something that we do NOT want, then we feel that life is dealing us lemons.
What if feelings are directives - self-generated decisions, based upon beliefs that cause what we experience? Like many fundamental truths of life, we often have the cause-effect relationship backwards. We sometimes feel that if we work harder, we'll get a raise; if I love you, you will love me; I would be happy if I had a new ...It's easy to understand the fallacy of the first example. To get a raise, you generally need to work harder
FIRST. Working is the cause - a raise is the effect. Raises don't cause work. When did you last see someone work harder after getting a raise - beyond a day or two? You may not always get a raise by working harder, but it's highly unlikely you'll get one any other way.
The second example: I'll love you back if you love me first, turns love into a bartering tool. We're afraid of being vulnerable, so we insist that the other person step out on the limb first. Is that really love? Love isn't something we get from another, it's a personal choice to become loving. It's a way of being first, then it's a gift you share. The one who insists that their partner love first is dealing in fear, not love. And even if the partner does express love first, it's unlikely that that love will be felt by the other. Love is born internally (cause) or it's never experienced (effect).
The last example may be the hardest to challenge. I'll be happy when I get what I want. We are surrounded every day by the message that our happiness depends on external circumstances. If we don't have the car we want, the house we want, the clothes we want, the job we want, etc. - if we feel we are lacking whatever we believe causes happiness, we feel unhappy.
Because our life did not meet our wants or expectations, we chose to feel badly. Our feelings are a result of what we tell ourselves it means. Some hide or run away from those feelings, while others take action and change things. In both cases the is reactionary - giving power to the circumstance without understanding that the circumstance is an effect, not a cause. The cause was the combination of expectations, personally-determined meanings, and erroneous beliefs that our quality of life is determined by our circumstances.
If you take power over those feelings and direct your result it is like an artist or writer. You are the artist, life is the canvas. You have the power of the pen to transform your life. Life is your agent fulfilling your commands. Through the thoughts and feelings you choose, you direct life to become. To be what you want. No longer a puppet controlled by someone or at the hands of thoses who would defeat you. You will often feel amazed and manipulated by what you learn. Believe me when I say, you ignited the effect by changing. You have the power to change.
Dream the live you were meant to dream!

Paying the Price to Be the Boss
Do you have what it takes to pay the price? It's not something that you have or don't have. It's skills that you've learned a long the way to achieve that level of financial independence. You'd be surprised by the number of CEO's and upper management that don't have them. Look around and see the number of businesses that fail and you'll agree. I've seen lots of people with lots of education that didn't have street scense and lots of people with money lose it all. They may have certain aspects of knowledge that can assist in being the boss but they don't take the time to learn the traits that they need to be the boss. Skills can be learned.
It's kind of like being a Mom. When we are born, we don't come with manuals. When we get older, we can't find a Woman's Manual or Mom's Manual. Sure there are books out there that empower us and inspire us, but there is no manual that tells you what to do next. Most of it is learned through trial and error and learning from our Moms, Grandmas and other women that we admire. Some of it is learned from our Dads, Grandpas and other men that will take the time to show us. Some that won't and don't know that we're watching them. If you can learn your ABCs, then you are teachable. If you've learned to multi-task, then you're on your way. If you can commit to what you want to do, I'll help you. We all need someone we can bounce things off.
Over 30 years ago, I decided I wanted to people empower their lives. To dream the life they were meant to dream.
So take the test.
Do you know how to attrack new customers each month?
Do you know how many customers you will need to cover your expenses?
Is it easier to attrack new customers or retain old customers?
Is it easier to give a presentation about your product or service to one person or a large audience?
Do you try to sale your customers or do you try to educate them?
Do you have a well planned presentation or do you fly by the seat of your pants?
Do you find at least 5 new ways to grow your business each month?
Do you know ways to get your clients selling for you?
Are you a master of the Internet ?
Do you know how to mass at least 50 or more leads a month using the Internet?
Are you a master of your time?
Would you spend $500-$5000 a month or spend time doing 5000 things each month?
Do you know the difference between a strategist and tactician?
Why do you want to work from home and be your own boss?
What is your passion?

The Blue Zone Life
I was reading an article this morning about the Blue Zone. People who live in these areas tend to live longer. Although the Blue Zone is not a physical zone like eastern time zone, it characterized the zone in terms of the people who lived in those areas. They found they tended to huddle together. Makes sense, birds of a feather flock together. One of the most important asset you will every own is your health!
These people tend to eat a healthier life-style by adding more fruits, vegetables and nut (almonds, cashews, walnuts and macadamia nuts). They enjoy the aging process no matter what age they are and interact with others in a relaxed or less stressful way. They find little activities to do all day to keep them busy. They take time to enjoy their sanctuary.
Some may think the secret to longevity lies in strenuous physical activity, such as running marathons or triathlons or pumping iron. Four things people can do that can potentially increase life expectancy: Create an environment that encourages physical activity, set up your kitchen in such a way that you're not overeating, cultivate a sense of purpose and surround yourself with the right people.
These are long-term fixes that have been shown over and over to add more years of life to you not life to your years.
Here's to your health!

Poetry in Motion

A good way to ease ourselves into that is to act as if we are the laziest person in the world. By accepting that, your are going to do that in a slow and easy way. Our bodies, when we start any activity slowly, start to become fluid with the rhythm of life. There is no anxiety or dread in getting started. Now you can even have fun doing it! The paradox is the slower you start something, the faster you will finish.
The thought of doing it slowly is an easy thought and allows us to start doing it! Therefore it actually gets finished.
Speed will naturally take over without you forcing it. Your natural rhythm inside will get you in sync with what you are doing. Your conscious mind stops forcing the action and the subsconcious mind will supply you with easy energy.
So take your time. Start out lazy and soon you will enoy a slow steady rhythm of doing.
The dynamite is living inside you and lights to a slow match.
Get the buzz on conscious movement and it will take over you.

Outlawing Light Bulbs?

Earlier this year, Congress passed a bill that will literally outlaw the use of old-fashioned incandescent light bulbs.
A recent news release stated that the new law is part of a massive governmental energy-saving program that will completely phase out the use of those energy-gobbling incandescent light bulbs by the year 2014.
That’s right, starting in 2012 it will actually be against the law to use regular incandescent light bulbs.
You might be wondering what on earth the government is up to now – going after a light bulb? I admit, it does sound pretty radical, but think about this…
Once the change is in effect, the boost in energy efficiency and savings will be at the very least a whopping 70% overall!
And what does that mean for you?
A 70% decrease in energy use translates into huge savings on your utility bill. Plus, it’s very good for the environment overall.
That’s a win-win for you -- and the environment.
So, the first to go will be the 100-watt bulb. And the transition will continue until the last 40-watt bulb is replaced in 2014.
The spiral and the coil fluorescent light bulbs are replacing the old incandescent light bulbs.

A Blueprint for Green

The government said today that the unemployment rate soared to 5.5% in May from 5% in April - much higher than economists had forecast. The headlines loom that jobless spike deepens economic pain. It's the biggest jump in unemployment rate since 1986 - combine that with the energy and housing woes and it strokes the fears about recession. This is a reminder that working families continue to bear the brunt of the failed economic policies. Who you gonna call?
This is not a surprise. This brings us to green, clean, and alternative-energy technologies, a.k.a. cleantech. I think this is a blueprint for green.
Well this is one SWAT Mom that is starting to like green. I never really thought about myself being a green person. The color green is not my favorite. I don't look good in green. More and more I am becoming green. I have a small vegetable garden mixed in with my flowers. I have tomatoes, squash, oriental eggplant, romaine lettuce, basil, peppers and red pearl onions growing in the mist of the flower garden. You have to look close to notice that some of it is vegetables and not flowers or shrubs. With the price of food soaring, it has certainly helped with the food bill and gas bill with not having to run to the grocery store. I even manage to give some away.
I use eco-friendly cleaning products, cosmetics, etc. that save me money and I get paid on them. It provides you with a great opportunity to develop your own business, be your own boss and reap the rewards of your efforts. You will be able to work from home and have the flexibility to schedule your business hours around your lifestyle commitments and interests. As your business, you select the product inventory that you want from our broad selection of eco-friendly products. We have multiple product categories that are designed to meet the needs of people wanting to enter into a green lifestyle. Working at home has never been a better time to save on gas.
My pets eat chewable brewers yeast with garlic to promote healthy skin and coat care as well as for getting rid of that pesky annoyance, fleas and ticks instead of harmful toxicants. There are safer and more effective ways to control fleas than several well-known commercial flea control.
An energy consultant can explains ways of energy efficiency and how to lower your utility bills. Lighting accounts for 30-50% of a building's energy use. Save up to 45% on your lighting costs by turning off unneeded lights and appliances. Some appliances continue to use electricity even when not in use as long as they are plugged in. Alternative/Renewable Energy can be purchased and used to offset taxes. Contact support@greensuccess.org for information on how to lower your utility bill, a quote on your service or how to save money on your energy bill and earn free travel.
When it comes to investments, I even think green.
But be cost conscious when thinking green. Just because someone says it's green doesn't mean that it cost effective enough to take the green out of your pocket. Make green, don't lose green.
To learn more about making money at home with eco-friendly products, email me at empowerme@empowermeteam.com
Are you ready to think green? This SWAT Mom thinks now is the time for the blueprint for green.
To your green success!

Can you persevere - NO MATTER WHAT?
Perseverance and failure cannot coexist. Failure happens when you quit. When all is said and done, perseverance, commonly referred to as"stick-to-itiveness," is the ultimate success insurance. Nothing can take its place.
Like the old adage of getting up just one more time than you have been knocked down, "Staying with it" applies to so much that is good and healthful in life! From learning to walk to riding a bicycle, our childhood teaches us that failure only occurs when we stop trying. It's a lesson many of us need to revisit in our adulthood. Then we need to consciously apply the techniques and principles that keep us on the "perseverance track."
For example, the world is full of those who "tried" to get a business going. After meeting with difficulty or rejections, they quit. They accepted failure, and faded back into the crowd never to be heard from again. The worst part is not that they quit their business, but that they quit themselves.
Why should succeeding at a business be easier than learning to ski or to play the piano? We are likely to stumble at first. It's part of the learning process. Ultimately, the people who persevere through the stumbling process learn enough to become successful. It's "staying with it" that separates the successful from the "wanes." Remember the words of Vince Lombardi, "We never lost a game, we just ran out of time." My Dad taught me just like he taught my brother and told me I was as good as any man. So I was trained tough.
Let's examine this valuable, yet elusive character trait, to see how we can enhance our own level of perseverance in life.
How are you currently equipped to persevere in pursuit of your dreams?
Give yourself the following quiz. On a scale of 1 -10, one being not all and 10 being perfect, rate your level on each of these factors that play a key role in your ability to persevere:
The TEST:
1. Self-confidence and self-image (Do you believe in you?)
2. Independence in thought and action (Can you go against the crowd when you know they're wrong?)
3. Clarity of purpose and intensity of passion (Do you really know what you want? How hot is your fire?)
4. Integrity (Do your actions align with your professed beliefs?)
5. Honesty with yourself (Are you willing to acknowledge and address are as about yourself with which you're dissatisfied?)
6. Ability to focus (Do you finish projects you start?)
7. Resilience (Can you bounce back quickly from disappointments?)
8. Adaptability to change in circumstances (Can you quickly adjust tosurprises?)
9. Health (How is your stamina? Energy level?)
10. The supportiveness of your family, social and career environment (Do the people who surround you add to, or detract from, your willingness to do what's necessary to achieve your goals?)

Sure Fire Way To Fight The Recession!
Seems like just yesterday when we were all outraged at paying over $2.00 for a gallon of gas? Now that we are approaching $4.50 per gallon, where is the outcry? Have we gone numb?
How much has your grocery bill gone up in just the last few months?
How much has your property value gone down in the last year?
How many have been laid off from work or just quit looking for work?
How many have been downsized or the executive pay doesn't go as far as it use to?
Can there be any doubt that we are in a recession or rapidly heading in the wrong direction? Do you want a sure fire way to fight back against the recession?
Here's the reality, the people who are in debt will be hit the hardest by the current economic downturn. Those who are debt free have the power to succeed during these hard times and help others do the same.
Remember, no matter what the market, prices never go up or down indefinitely! Over time there are always corrections and counter trends. Just be patient! You know that little moment when you are asking yourself, "but what if it goes up even higher?" Well that moment is the pinnacle of highest risk for buying at the wrong time!
So the very next time that you are considering purchasing a product, or buying/selling a stock, real estate, or any other investment, before you do, ask yourself:"Would I be better off to do a bit more research before I act?" "Is the market frothy, increasing the risk of loss over the potential reward?" "Are there technical factors telling me that I may be premature in my decision? If the answer to one or more of these questions is "yes", then simply WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!
Now is the time to start your own business and reap the tax savings, pay off any debt and build your nest egg.
If you can switch from buying in the store to buying from yourself and get paid, then you are better off. Don't buy things that you don't need but things you are already buying. Rather than buy what you need once a week, buy three-month supplies of the items you use that are currently on sale. Enroll 8 others by June 20th with the 1/2 price enrollment fee of $14.50 and you will achieve some awesome rewards!

Shop for groceries on your supermarkets 12-week sale cycle. Make a list of items you normally get and buy in packages when on sale. Most products in the typical grocery store -- except milk, eggs and bread -- are put on sale at least once every 12 weeks, often for 20% to 30% below their usual prices. Of course, dont stock up on foods that spoil quickly unless they can be frozen. Use those vacuum freezer bags and green bags to store food items. They last longer. Prepare two or three times the amount of food you need when you do have the time and energy to cook, and freeze the excess. When time is tight, a home-cooked meal is just a few microwave minutes away. Look for Angel Food Ministries in your area for a box of food at a reasonable price.' http://www.angelfoodministries.com/

The Heart Matters

Heart disease is the number one killer in the world. One of every two men and one of every three women will develop heart disease. In addition, Americans spend over $28.5 billion on statins (cholesterol-lowering medication) like Lipitor and Zocor - making heart supplements a larger market than antidepressants or allergy medications. According to the American Heart Association, coronary heart disease is America's number one killer-someone dies from it every 33 seconds. In addition, nearly half of all adults have cholesterol levels above 200. Statin drugs are not always the best choice. In 2001, Bayer pulled their Statin drug off the market when 31 deaths occurred among patients due to side effects. The following year, CNN reported Statin drugs were known to cause nerve damage in one in every 2200 patients. Remember to consult with your doctor before starting or discontinuing any medication. There is a better way. Email me at empowerme@EmpowermeTeam.com
The following is some heart related information on heart attacks. A tickle in the throat could be a sign of a heart attack. Coughing as hard as you can, can get the heart back in rhythm Yes, I suffered a heart attack. I am writing this because I want you to know the symptoms.
Know not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.
Mine were the silent ones. The ones you don't expect. The cardiologist said probably what saved my life was that I had lost weight, had my blood sugar and cholestrol in good shape and started coughing. I thought I was too young to have a heart attack, but the guy in the next room in the hospital was only 17! Because of stress, the toxicans around us and the way we eat, it can happen to anyone. Ask me little ways you can go green and improve your health and save you money.
I was one of the fortunate ones. Let's be careful and be aware. This is very lengthy because I want you to know more than I did and know what they are talking about when they start throwing words at you. Always go for a second or third opinion if you have the chance. The more we know, the better chance we could survived...A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail sends it to 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life. Read this...It could save your life!! I want to keep my friends around for as long as possible.
Chest pain is a major symptom of heart attack. However, some people may have little or no chest pain. This is called a silent heart attack.
The pain, pressure or tingle may be felt in only one part of the body or move from your chest to your arms, shoulder, neck, teeth, jaw, belly area, or back.
The pain can be severe or mild. It can feel like:
Squeezing or heavy pressure
Tingle in the throat, arm or chest
A tight band around the chest
Something heavy sitting on your chest
Bad indigestion
Pain usually lasts longer than 20 minutes. Rest and a medicine called nitroglycerine do not completely relieve the pain of a heart attack.
Other symptoms of a heart attack include:
Shortness of breath
Nausea or vomiting
Anxiety
Cough
Fainting
Lightheadedness - dizziness
Palpitations (feeling like your heart is beating too fast)
Sweating, which may be extreme
Signs and tests
A heart attack is a medical emergency. If you have symptoms of a heart attack, seek immediate medical help.
The health care provider will perform a physical exam and listen to your chest using a stethoscope. The doctor may hear abnormal sounds in your lungs (called crackles), a heart murmur, or other abnormal sounds.
You may have a rapid pulse. Blood pressure may be normal, high, or low.
Tests to look at your heart include:
Coronary angiography
CT scan
Echocardiography
Electrocardiogram (ECG) -- once or repeated over several hours
MRI
Nuclear ventriculography
Blood tests can help show if you have substances produced by heart tissue damage or a high risk for heart attack. These include:
Troponin I and troponin T
CPK and CPK-MB
Serum myoglobin
Just a few years ago, bypass surgery was considered the treatment of choice for severe heart disease. Things have changed.
Many patients now fare quite well with less invasive procedures. In some cases, coronary artery blockages can be successfully managed with medication. In others, minimally invasive procedures are effective.
No single approach is best for everyone. The right choice is one that fits the patient and the unique condition of his/her coronary arteries.
THE STATE OF THE ARTERIES
Most people first discover that they have heart disease when they seek medical care for chest discomfort (angina pectoris).
Some patients experience angina as pain. Others experience it as pressure or heaviness in the throat, arms or back or tickle... or simply shortness of breath.
Typically, these symptoms occur during exertion and are relieved with rest.
Angina is caused by fatty deposits in one or more coronary arteries, the vessels that supply blood to the heart.
Patients who have angina are typically given a battery of tests, including an electrocardiogram (EKG) and a treadmill stress test.
Caution: While these tests are useful for helping the doctor formulate a diagnosis of heart disease, they do not necessarily show the location or severity of the coronary artery blockage.
For this, patients typically undergo a more invasive procedure known as coronary angiography. In this procedure, often performed on an outpatient basis, a narrow tube called a catheter is inserted into the femoral artery through a tiny incision in the groin. The catheter is threaded up the artery to the heart, where special dye is injected into the coronary vessel.
An X ray of the heart shows which of the coronary arteries are affected--and how badly they are affected.
Not everyone who has coronary artery disease needs a coronary angiogram. If symptoms are mild and the stress test suggests that the heart is functioning well, medication may be adequate.
Angiography is recommended if symptoms are worsening or are not controlled with medication. In addition, angiography often becomes necessary when bypass or another heart procedure is under consideration.
DRUG THERAPY
For many heart patients, the right mix of medications can relieve symptoms to the point that normal activity is possible. Typically, this mix includes...
Beta blocker to slow the pulse and lower blood pressure. Typical beta blockers include propranolol (Inderal) and atenolol (Tenormin).
Nitrate or sometimes called nitro to dilate the coronary arteries, so that blood flow to diseased heart tissue is increased. The best-known nitrate is nitroglycerin.
Aspirin to prevent clots that can cause a heart attack. It is not recommended for those under 65 on a regular base. See your medical help for more help
Cholesterol-lowering drug to help prevent the blockage from getting bigger (if cholesterol levels are elevated).
Of the many classes of cholesterol-lowering medication now in use, atorvastatin (Lipitor) and other so-called statins are most widely used.
In some cases, symptoms grow worse despite drug therapy. If so, a catheter-related procedure called percutaneous revascularization may be necessary.
There are non drug ways to lower cholestrol, ask me how I did. If you require medical proceedure, I want you to know your options before you have to take medicine or before they have to cut you open. Just because you have a heart attack, it doesn't mean you have to have an operation.
TYPES OF REVASCULARIZATION
There are three basic types of percutaneous revascularization...
Balloon angioplasty. In this procedure, a tiny balloon--which has been introduced into the blocked coronary artery via a catheter--is inflated to squash the fatty deposit against the artery wall and reshape the vessel.
This opens the center of the artery (lumen), permitting enhanced blood flow.
Stenting. Here, a tiny spring-like coil, called a stent, is placed inside the coronary artery to help keep the lumen open.
Rotoblation. Blockages that are heavily calcified and that involve long stretches of a coronary artery are hard to treat using angioplasty or stenting.
Today, such blockages can often be eliminated with the help of a catheter that is tipped with a tiny rotary blade. Using this device, called a rotoblator, a cardiologist shaves away the blockage bit by bit.
Each of these procedures involves a brief hospital stay--typically overnight. In most cases, the patient can resume normal activity within a week.
Percutaneous revascularization is often highly effective at controlling symptoms. But 30% to 40% of the people who undergo one of these procedures require the procedure again within a few months--because the blockage returns.
WHEN BYPASS IS BEST
Bypass surgery is known formally as coronary artery bypass grafting, or CABG (often called "cabbage" by physicians).
CABG involves grafting a portion of a vein or artery taken from the chest or leg onto the coronary artery. This is major surgery. The chest is opened, and the patient typically spends five to seven days in the hospital. Full recovery takes four to seven weeks.
If a doctor recommends CABG rather than percutaneous revascularization, ask why. If you are not satisfied with the answer, get a second opinion.
CABG is most effective in individuals who have several severely blocked coronary arteries and whose heart muscle is already damaged.
Bypass surgery may also be the best option if repeated percutaneous revascularization has failed to keep affected arteries open--or is unlikely to do so.
Sometimes a "key hole" surgery is performed by minimally invasive robotic heart surgery into "key holes" in the chest leading to greater benefits for patients, compared to those offered by traditional open heart surgery.
These benefits include:
• Shorter hospital stay• Less pain and scarring• Less risk of wound infections• Less blood loss and fewer transfusions• Faster recovery• Quicker return to normal activities and lifestyles
WHERE TO GO
Revascularization procedures and bypass surgery are now available even in small hospitals. But CABG survival rates are higher--and complication rates lower--in hospitals that do a high volume of bypass operations.
Major teaching hospitals tend to have the most favorable rates. Such hospitals have a full team of specialists who can step in immediately--night or day--if complications arise.
LIFESTYLE FACTORS
In recent years, the role played by dietary change, stress reduction and other lifestyle strategies in the treatment of heart disease has received much media attention.
For the most part, these are adjuncts to drug therapy or surgery--not alternatives.
No treatment--not even bypass surgery--can always cure heart disease. The process that clogged your vessels in the first place may continue unless you make fundamental changes...
If you're overweight, lose weight. Doing so will ease the strain on your heart... and lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
Limit your intake of dietary fat. No more than 30% of the calories you consume should be from fat. No more than one-third of the fat you consume should be saturated fat.
Get regular exercise. Walking for 20 minutes at least four days a week is usually adequate.
Curb psychological stress. Identify aggravating situations, and make necessary changes.
Immediately call your local emergency number (such as 911) or go to the hospital emergency room if you have symptoms of a heart attack.
Prevention
To prevent a heart attack:
Keep your blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol under control.
Don't smoke.
Consider drinking 1 to 2 glasses of wine or pomergrante juice each day. Moderate amounts may reduce your risk of cardiovascular problems. However, drinking larger amounts does more harm than good.
Eat a low fat diet rich in fruits and vegetables and low in animal fat.
Eat fish twice to three times a week. Baked or grilled fish is better than fried fish. Frying can destroy some of the benefits.
Exercise daily or several times a week. Walking is a good form of exercise. Talk to your doctor before starting an exercise routine.
Lose weight if you are overweight.
Note: This information is not medical help but information you can talk with your doctor about. Only you can decide what's best for you after discussing it with your doctor.

Financial Independence Success

1. Express Gratitude
Financial independence begins with gratitude. You hear me say that a lot, in an attitude of gratitude. Set aside a daily period to offer a sincere thank you for every blessing in your life. Start your morning off with gratitude and end the day with gratitude. Include people, places, possessions, talents, and memories. Offer gratitude for your future dreams as though they were already in your possession.
Gratitude will allow you to attract the blessings you want. When they arrive, protect them from the thieves that could rob you of your financial independence.
2. Liberate Your Future
Debts of the past are thieves of the future. If you want financial independence, live a simple life style that does not create unnecessary personal debt. Living with class does not require being extravagant. If you are conservative most of the time, you can be extravagant at the right times.
Do not allow credit card companies to hold your future hostage. Take control. Use 1/4th of your income to get rid of credit card debt and other debt that robs you of high monthly interest payments. Borrowing is a tool that should produce a return on your investment, not cost your future security.
3. Commit to Wellness
Your health is the most valuable asset that you need to protect. Wellness allows you to manage and enjoy financial independence. Get regular physical checkups and maintain a sensible physician-approved exercise program. A simple walking routine is one of the best forms of exercise. Breathe deeply. These can help to minimize illnesses and maximize the rewards of a productive life.
Maintaining wellness requires an ongoing commitment. Another area of commitment that is equally important to financial independence is one of personal financial discipline.
4. Develop a Saving Discipline
A financially independent future requires saving, and saving requires discipline. As credit card debt diminishes, savings can begin to increase. An emergency savings fund of six to twelve months living expenses is a wise idea. It's a good idea whenever buying a new assest, to have six to twelve months expenses to cover that assets as well. Increase the months as you acquire more wealth. Some can over all their assests and living expenses for 20 years without one dime coming in. However, you will want additional major long-term savings plans for such goals as education and retirement as I mentioned yesterday.
Do not expect the government to take care of your financial future. If you want to remain financially independent, take ultimate responsibility for every chapter of your financial life. That responsibility begins with wise investing and respect for money.
5. Invest Wisely and Respect Money
As I was growing up, my father taught me to work and taught me the same skills he taught my brother because he said he wanted me to be able to take care of myself. He said you never know about the future and must do things while you can to protect the future. When his father died, his mother was didn't know how to handle anything. My father taught me to have several investments that produce an ongoing, passive income. This, he said, would allow me to remain independent if I were to become physically disabled. These investments are like "feeding geese that lay golden eggs". Passive income streams also provide additional capital to place in other financial growth investments.
Respect for money is the beginning of saving and investing. Respect for a dollar begins with respect for a penny. Take care of the little things and the little things will take care of you. You will always have dollars if you take care of your pennies. When I was given my first wealth penny, pennies started multiplying. I still carry it in my shoe. Even the smallest of assets and investments need protection.
6. Protect Yourself and Your Loved Ones
Making a commitment to protect the welfare of your family and loved ones is a trait that I see in all successful entrepruers. Ensuring the safety of your financial assets is part of doing this.
Adequate insurance coverage for your life, health, and property is a wise investment. You should also use professional legal, financial, and security services to help protect your business, property, and all the things you have worked to acquire.
7. Design Your Financial Independence with Professional Help
Seek qualified professionals to help you design your financial future. You do not need to be a financial expert to become financially independent, but you must become financially literate. Seek professional guidance from experts in financial planning, taxes, and accounting. These people can work with you to help you realize your financial goals. You need to stay in control but do seek professional guidance. Oprah says to this day she still writes every check and knows where every amount of money goes.
Begin today by seeking out professionals that can help you achieve your financial goals. Especially seek tax help in your country. I can give you a list of names of people who made big money and lost it to the IRS in America. Become financially independent in your own mind. Express gratitude for the blessings you will receive as if they were already in your possession. Avoid and eliminate unnecessary personal debt, and live a healthy lifestyle. Save with discipline, invest wisely, and respect your financial assets. Protect the assets you have worked to acquire, and you can enjoy the financially independent lifestyle that you have envisioned.
When I was in my 20's a millionaire friend was paying cash for his new home. I remarked that he should mortgage it. He said, he always paid cash for the home he lived in and his cars, business properties were mortgaged because our laws protect a person's home and car. If you own them out right, you don't owe anyone and don't risk being foreclosed. Just pay the taxes. Thru the years, the ones that have managed to weather the storms of life, have been the ones that followed these rules and saved.
To your success!
