No man is an island. Sometimes when we start out in business for ourselves, we feel that we are all alone. Do you feel like you are battling all uphill? That with each step you take the mountain gets harder to climb? The burden gets heavier? You are not alone.

Over the years, I've since come across many people who have helped me, inspired me to become far larger than myself by demonstrating the power of being part of a team and fighting our way back to climb every mountain we face in business as well as our personal life. They have told me in various ways that they can't do it for me, they can only tell me that it can be done. Even when you have a business for yourself, you have mentors to help you along the way. Even Henry Ford had a mindset team that was not part of his business but helped him dream possibilities and inspired him.

I think this inspiring speech by Al Pacino in "On Any Given Sunday" makes the point of the power of a team. It's the little things that make the difference between losing and winning. In the strings of life the margin for error is so small. Just a baby step too late or too early, or too fast or too slow, and we don't quite make it. Those little differences are around us everywhere, every day. It's the little difference in the power of a team that makes the difference. We have to fight for each baby step we take. It's the difference between living and dying. It's the difference in losing or becoming a success. It's because we are still willing to fight and die for that difference. The power of a team is what living is all about. Abundance in living comes from learning to make the little differences that bring about abundant living. It's about having the power of a team.
