Planting Seeds

Now many people would wonder what planting seeds has to do with making money online. J.D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, Aristotle Onassis, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Oprah Winfrey and Col. Sanders knew how it had to do with making money.

Most people should know at least one or two of the names I mentioned if they don't know all of them. Hopefully you will recognize the name of at least one of these great people who started with nothing and ended with tremendously wealthy empires.

I'm talking about the more money you give, the more you make. It has proven to increase wealth through the ages. No technology. No computers systems. Nothing has helped create more money than the simple fact that giving money away, attracts more prosperity to the giver.

Now most people, if they know of the principle at all, don't do it the right way it. They think the secret is to "Give money to receive money." The problem for most people is in letting go of their money. They fear not having enough money. They fear they will be left out. They want to give but give a small fraction of what they have or give unwilling or as a duty not with an attitude of gratitude. Abundance alludes them because of fear.

Some many years ago I met Col. Sanders, the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken AKA KFC, in his twilight years. I asked him the secret to making money. As he had started KFC when he was in his sixties and ended with a vast empire.

He said, "He began tithing 10% of his income." "But it is not the tithing, it's the attitude of gratitude to give with a willing heart that is the key to prosperity."

He continued, "If you feel down or doing it because you should do it, the money is being given with an ungrateful heart. It's like writing a check to someone that you don't feel good about. This blocks the flow of abundance in your life."

I said, "You mean if I don't feel good about giving the church my money, then I'm keeping the church from prospering?"

He nodded his head and said, "You keep both you and the church from prospering!" "When you give with a willing heart, you open the flow to prosperity. Have you ever given someone money that you felt really good about even though it was your last bit of money?"

"Like when a gave a homeless couple ten dollars and all I had was twenty dollars?"

"How did you feel?"

"I was excited to be able to help them because they had a baby that needed to be fed. I was kind of nervous because I needed to buy my groceries with that money but I felt they needed it more than I did so I was happy."

"Exactly, you can't out give your Creator." "I am happy today to give away ninety percent of the money I make and live on ten percent because ten percent is more than enough money for me to live and provide for my family."

"Awesome! So in other words, I must give in an attitude of gratitude rather than just give."

"Yes." "But you can't do it boastfully either." "You must give with a humble, grateful heart."

Silence fell and I thanked him for his bit of wisdom that he told me.

Then I remember my Grandfather had told me how he had given his last twenty dollars to a couple with a small baby that needed money for formula. He had been on his way to buy groceries for his wife and five small children when he came upon this couple. He gave it willingly and joyfully knowing that he would get back abundantly more than he had given. Shortly after he arrive home that evening, another couple came to their door and said they had been impressed to bring them some food. They brought a cooked turkey, dressing and all the fixings plus at least $200 dollars worth of food for the pantry.

The money gets attracted by the humble grateful heart and causes a ripple effect to replenish the money. There is an abundant supply. Knowing there is an abundant supply makes it easy for us in planting seeds of faith with our money. Few people do it. Make sure you feel good about it even when you pay your bills. Do it with an attitude of gratitude. See how blessed you really are?
